Ray joins me on today’s podcast to discuss the mindset of an elite military operator both in and out of service. Ray goes through many of his acronyms that he lives by which lead to his success and how we can all apply some or all of it to our lives. Ray gets after it and makes the most of every minute. He is grateful and thankful and does not rest. He is 50 years old and in better shape than most people of any age because he is constantly sharpening his blade. Just as an example, Ray does 6320 pushups every week. That is 1000 per day and then 1320 on Saturdays with his Instagram community. 1320 is an important number because that represents the 22 veterans and First Responders who commit suicide per day. He does 22 pushups every minute on the minute for 60 minutes.

The Palomar knot has always been considered one of the strongest ways to tie a hook or lure to the end of the line. But today, Anthony shows us how to tie it on a bare spinning reel spool. This is a really good trick because it eliminates the need to spool monofilament, then tie the braid on. When braid is tied to a bare spool it is so slick that anglers have seen the entire spool of line rotate around the bare spool without ever finding purchase. Tape, or rubber gaskets have been used to create that purchase or simply using 10-50 yards of mono also works. This trick eliminates all of that and allows for much quicker spooling.

Read MoreSo many of us do so well when we are at home and on a regular schedule. Throw in some meetings or kids athletic events or TRAVEL and it is easy to miss a workout. That miss can turn into 2,3,4 days. The next thing you know it has been over a week since you worked out and the old habits return. I do the best by never missing a day. This doesn’t mean that I always have time for a 2 hour workout. NO WAY! However, I try to always get SOMETHING in…even if it is only a 10 minute workout.
This week on Physical Friday I go over 6 workouts that you can do in 10 minutes or less. These workouts won’t get you in incredible shape, but they are good to do when you are traveling, or if you have that occasional day where you don’t have time to get a full workout in. These are not meant as everyday workouts, but just as a filler when you need it to maintain fitness and to STAY ON TRACK!
